Youth Supporters

PAWS Atlanta is lucky to have supporters of all ages. You are never too young to help animals in need. There are so many ways to help. Below are just a few ideas that can be done with a neighborhood group, a scouting troop or a class:

Bake Sale: Hold a bake sale with people food and animal food or open a lemonade stand.

Penny Drive: Put a container in your classroom and ask your friends and classmates to bring in their pennies. Pennies really do add up!

Pet Food and Supply Drive: Make posters announcing when the drive will be held, how food will be collected and who will benefit from the event. Once a week, have members from the class take a decorated wagon around to pick up donations. Have students make a graph of their progress and announce final results to the whole school. Take a look at our Amazon Wish List for pre-approved toys and other items we need around the shelter at various price points.

Yard Sale: Have your classmates and friends donate items and hold a yard sale.

PAWS Atlanta thanks Oak Grove Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia for all of the wonderful artwork that is now proudly displayed at our shelter. Under the guidance of the art teacher, Mrs. Beth Deery, the students created unique works of art focusing on their favorite animals.
 
Lindsey, pictured below on the left, collected and donated pet supplies instead of getting birthday gifts.
Jess, pictured below, loves cats, so for her 8th birthday, she asked her friends to bring donations of cat food for PAWS Atlanta.
